The Fleet
The Soaring Centre has one of the most up to date and well equipped fleets of any club in England, giving members the chance to fly the best available sailplanes at a relatively cheap rate. The club fleet currently consists of a range of modern glassfibre two seaters and solo sailplanes. This includes 4 Puchacz dual trainers, a Bocian two seater and a falke motor glider. For solo pilots there are 3 Juniors, a Ka 8. For the more competitive cross country pilot we also have a Pegase 101, two Discus b, and a Duo Discus for advanced cross country tuition.

All of these gliders are available to all members of the club, with the better machines spending a large part of the summer at various competitions throughout England. The two seaters provide training at all levels starting with trial flights for the public, training to solo level up to cross country level and in aerobatics and cloud flying. The motor glider is used for field landing checks and intensive pre-solo training.
